Beginning the Campaign

The first of my election campaign posters - Mr Bumpy.
Hello out there in the Bloggosphere,

I'm sure you've heard by now that Ms Gillard has called the election for the 14th of September.

She's given us a lot more notice than Prime Minispurrs usually do, but that's to be fair to the new force in Australian Politics - Mr Bumpy's Feline Pawty. Most people haven't heard of us yet, so we need a long campaign time.

Of course, I'm the face of the pawty, because I'm going to be Prime Minispurr. So that decision was easy.

The big, important decision I had to make to start the campaign was, what colour would my pawty be?

Labor already has red. The Liberals and Nationals have blue. The Greens have green. Katter's Australia Party has an Akubra hat (that's not a colour, but they haven't worked that out yet.)

After much consideration, and many naps, I finally decided to make my pawty's colour purple.  I chose purple, because it's a nice colour and I look good against a purple background. Don't you think so?

Well, that's all the important work done.

The election campaign can begin...

A note to my minions - please print out copies of my poster and put them up everywhere. We need maximum coverage.

Until next time we meet in the Bloggosphere,
I remain,
Mr Bumpy,
Bloggercat,
Supreme Feline Overlord.

    1. I know that giggle. That's Miss Janey isn't it? A sleek little black panther like you could ninja posters into place during the night and no-one would know who'd done it. Tell Jessie to act as look-out for you though, I wouldn't want anything bad happening to my little panther.

    2. *whispers* I'm Jessie (a girl panther) and the huMum is Jane - sorry for confusion! I have another idea I might get my fellow panther hoodies to help me with - deposit the 100+ meeces we catch on our travels and deposit them at Ms Gillard's front door in Altona! Punches air with high five in exceitment.

    3. You're sorry? All along I've been talking to you as if you were two cats! (And I thought one of you was a boy.) I'm very embarrassed. Please accept my apologies.

Meeces, huh? Well, I'm sure that's a campaign idea Mr Abbott won't even think of. You're a very clever little panther. I'll have to find you a job in cabinet after the election. Minister for Propaganda might me good, huh? Or I could put you in charge of ASIO.
