Baby? Why Yes, I'm the Baby.

Yes, I'm the baby.  I'll just lie back and relax while
you carry me around.
Hello out there in the Bloggosphere,

I've decided to be a baby for a while. Just for the fun of it. Well, baby Joey seems to enjoy it.

The other day she was playing on the furry blankey with a rattle.  That's like a jingle ball for babies.  I went and got one of my jingle balls and sat down near her to play.  Mum asked if I wanted it thrown, but I didn't give it to her. I just shook it and rattled it, just like baby Joey did with her rattle.

Baby Joey isn't eating so much of her canned baby food now.  She prefers to have a bit of what the adult humans are eating.  She gets a bit of meat or vegetable or whatever in her fist and gums it away happily.

Get out? But I'm the baby!
So I've stopped eating stinky fish.  It took Mum a little while to catch on, but after three day of throwing out my dinner the next morning, she caught on.  I'll have my dry food, like Joey eats her rusks and baby biscuit things, but then I'll have a little bit of whatever the humans have for dinner - well a bit of the meat or egg bit of whatever the humans are having for dinner - I do have some standards.

Mr 20 (yes, he's had another birthday) wasn't at all surprised to find I had become a baby.  I've always sort of been his baby.  If he picks me up I just relax and lie back and let him carry me anywhere. And he knows I need heaps and heaps of attention.

Mum, however, found it a bit strange. The rattle/jingle ball thing confused her enough.

I can always go back to being
the Supreme Feline Overlord.
Then I started asking to be picked up whenever anyone picked Joey up.  I'm not being silly about it, I know the same person can't hold both of us, so I usually give Joey a little nose kiss and then ask another adult to pick me up.

Mum accused me of being jealous. But she said that as long as I wasn't mean about it, that was OK, I could ask for my share of attention as well. Mean? I wouldn't be mean. I'm enjoying being the baby.

Of course the very best thing about being the baby is that I can do one thing Joey can't do.

Whenever I get bored with being the baby, I can go back to being the Supreme Feline Overlord.

Until next time we meet in the Bloggosphere,
I remain,

Mr Bumpy,
Supreme Feline Overlord.

  1. Do you also wear diapers ? And what if Joey tried to be the Supreme Baby Overlord to be like you ;) ? Purrs

  2. Being the baby sure has some benefits.
